Midomi did it! Now you can search your favourite song by using your voice

Way Back Into Love

Kind of like this song from the first moment i listen...

Various Artists Way Back into Love Lyrics

[Cora]I've been living with a shadow overhead
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I've been lonely for so long Trapped in the past,
I just can't seem to move on

[Alex]I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need them again someday
I've been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind

[Cora & Alex]All I wanna do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love Oh oh oh

[Cora]I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I've been searching but I just don't see the signs
I know that it's out there There's gotta be something for my soul somewhere

[Alex]I've been looking for someone to shed some light
Not somebody just to get me through the night
I could use some direction
And I'm open to your suggestions

[Cora & Alex]All I wanna do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end

[Cora]There are moments when I don't know if it's real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation

[Cora & Alex]All I wanna do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love .
And if I open my heart to you
I'm hoping you'll show me what to do
And if you help me to start again
You know that I'll be there for you in the end

The Smart Umbrella

How many times have you left home and only realized you’d forgotten your umbrella just as it started to pour rain? Well, help is on the way with the development of the Ambient Forecasting Umbrella that will remind you to take it with you on days you’re going to need it. Flashing light pulses in the handle at varying speeds depending on the forecast, serving as a great reminder not to forget your umbrella!

For all the benefits that the umbrella offers, it has one glaring flaw: No matter how gigantic or water-repellent it is, if you leave it at home you are going to get wet. Ambient Devices is hoping to remedy that flaw with the Ambient Forecasting Umbrella. Still under development, the Forecasting Umbrella will let you know at a glance whether you need it. An LED in the handle pulses according to the chance of precipitation by means of a data-radio in the handle that receives information from AccuWeather.com. If the chance of rain is 60 percent, the umbrella handle pulses once every second. If the chance is 100 percent, it pulses 100 times a minute.

Homework Cheating Online - Makes it Easy to Cheat

Do you wanna be the Teacher’s Pet? Well baby, you just better forget it… Cheating on your homework has officially hit the marketplace with the launch of UK-based website, SchoolShortcut. Students can pay to have their school assignments completed for them or cash in on their own expertise by offering to do homework for others. Of course, being caught for using a service like this carries stiff penalties, just like it does in the classroom, and could result in expulsion especially at the College and University levels.

School Shortcut lets students at whatever level browse and purchase coursework, submit their own to get purchase points, and even has an eBay-like "Homework Market". Will students even have to do any work in the future?

A Next Generation of G-String

Recently, a friend of my tell me about a new cool fashion design. Ladies, please welcome to the next generation of G-String. It’s called C-String, a bikini G-string without the straps.

The only thing to hold it to your body is the wire which helps it grip on. Just pop it on, and it stays put. According to the manufacture, C-String will solve the problem of outfits that might show a panty line. Moreover, you can wear it as swimwear so that you don’t get tan lines across your bottom. It’s selling for about £14.99.

Thing do happen... Are you prepare for this?!

Environmental Nudity - 'World Naked Bike Ride' in Support of the Environment

That’s right the World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR), is a series international events bringing together environmentally conscious nudists from the world over to protest oil dependency, in major cities, by biking in the buff as a mortified public gapes on.

Bike riding would have to be pretty high up there on the list of repulsive things to do while nude. Wouldn’t the act of a large group of people riding bicycles simply be enough to make the ecological point? Why remove your clothes and scar small children for life? After straining my mind to think of who could imagine such an ill conceived event. There was only one answer, cult of twisted degenerate bicycle seat sniffing deviants conning dumb but uninhibited eco-bikers to converge on our cities and grind groins in groups.

World Naked Swim (WNS), I could live with that.
Thousands of uninhibited men and women went the extra mile to make their environmental point on Saturday, riding naked on bicycles through cities as diverse as London, Paris, Madrid, Montreal and Mexico. Under the slogan "As Bare As You Dare," protesters felt the wind in their hair -- and everywhere else -- as they pedalled along demonstrating the risks they face on the roads and the impact that cars have on the environment.
In London, 700 cyclists in various states of undress were reported to have gambolled through central London in another leg of the World Naked Bike Ride, while similar events happened in Manchester, Southampton and York. Some 100 riders rode through the tourist areas of Mexico City in protest against the car-clogged streets and the pollution that chokes their city.

Do something to preserve the precious heritage

The planet is under attack from an uncontrolled release of toxic chemicals. Oceans are being polluted, forests cut down, and many species are now under threat of extinction. Globally we are using over 20% more natural resources each year than can be regenerated. The planet cannot keep up with our growing consumption levels. WWF works to stop this degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. WWF works to address global threats such as climate change, the consumption of natural resources and the use of toxic chemicals.

If you feel passionate about preserving the incalculably precious heritage that is the natural world, please join WWF. With so much at stake, you will be glad to know you are supporting the world’s largest independent conservation organisation. If you are from Malaysia, you can contribute to WWF-Malaysia through the direct debit donor programme. For more detail, contact:

STOP WASTING TIME

Here are some tips on how you can reduce time-wasting activities

TIME is nature’s greatest “force”. Unlike the wind, It cannot be felt. Unlike the sun, it cannot be seen. Yet, of all nature’s forces, time has the most profound effect on us.

Time remains constant, but our perception of it changes. When we focus on it, it slows down. When we turn our backs on it, it speeds up. This makes us think it is something tangible.

We arrange It. divide it up and give some to our friends. Sometimes we feel It is precious, at other times we waste it.

We give it the power to heal when we say, “time heals all wounds”. It can also kill, as when we live stressful lives because we “never have enough time”. On a day-to-day basis, nothing is defined and redefined in our minds as much as time.

Herein lies our power. Because things are as we perceive them, we can choose to see time as a manageable commodity and live our lives according to that assumption. This is one of the secrets of successful people — they work at shaping those things that others think arc uncontrollable.

1 Efficient vs effective

In discussing time management, some people argue that we need to use time more efficiently. Others claim: Lot’s not worry so much about efficiency, let’s be more effective” Efficiency means doing things right.

Effectiveness means doing the right things. Working efficiently is doing things with the least amount of wasted effort. Efficiency gets you from point A to point B via a straight line, while inefficiency makes you o round in circles.
Many people, when learning about time management. ask the question: Which should I work on first, efficiency or effectiveness?”

In theory and practice. the best answer is to improve your effectiveness first. It Is much better to aim your sights at the result than to worry about the process. Too often, people got bogged down in the means and lose sight of the end.

2 Eliminating time wasters

Time wasters come from the people around you as well as from within yourself. Some time wasters are unavoidable, but can be reduced. Identify the most frequent sources of time wasters in your day. Check yours against the list below. Many researchers find the same handful at the top of their lists, which indicates that these arc problems common to most people:
  • Scheduling less important work before more important work;
  • Starting a job before thinking it through;
  • Leaving jobs before they are completed;
  • Doing things that can be delegated to another person;
  • Doing things that can be delegated to of your real job;
  • Keeping too many, too complicated or overlapping records;
  • Handling too wide a variety of duties;
  • Failing to build barriers against Interruptions;
  • Allowing conferences and discussions to wander;
  • Conducting unnecessary meetings and making needless visits and/or phone calls;
  • Chasing trivial data after the main facts aro in;
  • Socialising at great length between tasks.

3 Setting priorities

When setting your priorities, there are two famous laws to remember. The first is Parkinson’s Law. It states that work tends to expand to fill the time allotted for its completion. Parkinson’s Law makes setting priorities twice as important. If you do not know what your priorities are, your other work will expand to fill in the extra time. It will take longer for you to accomplish less.

The second law of note is Pareto’s Principle, which, in this situation, states that 80 per cent of your results comes from 20 per cent of your efforts. Another way to look at it is that 80 per cent of your client.

4 Using a “to do” list

A list of things to do” for each day and week is a valuable aid to managing your time. A “to do” list organizes your thinking and planning onto one form in the least amount of time with the maximum amount of efficiency. Such a list is especially helpful If it coincides with the record-keeping you already do for your company.

Your“do list” should define a specific amount of time (If possible) for each activity. This will keep work from “expanding”. Your activities should be listed In order of priority. Work on tasks with high priorities first. In listing the activities, it is helpful to spell out the result as well as the process. Stating when, where and what you are going to do increases your chances of doing It successfully.

As the day goes by, check off completed activities and make any notes that seem relevant. In the evening, make out a new “to do” list for the next day and include any activities you could not complete the day before. Always save your to do” lists for future reference and evaluation.

After a short time, you will find yourself handling a greater volume of work without increasing your stress. You will simply become more efficient.

Global Warming

Severe flooding. Prolonged droughts. Hotter nights. We are suffering from the consequences of global warming ... ... Excessive carbon emissions trap heat in the atmosphere, causing soaring temperatures. And the result is mayhem in one form or another. But it's not too late. You'd be surprised how a small change on your part can make a huge impact on the environment. Thus, we are doing our part by incorporating alternative energy and eco-friendly technologies in every aspect of our daily activities. It's the least we can do for our nation and future generations.

Here are some remedies which helps a lot :

1. Change a light.
Replacing six regular light bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs will save 400kg of ,carbon dioxide a year.

2. Drive less.
Walk bike, carpool or take public transport more often. You'll save 1.5kg of carbon dioxide for every 5km you don't drive!

3. Recycle more.
You can save 1,000kg of carbon dioxide per year by recycling just half of your household waste.

4. Check your tyres.
Keeping your tyres inflated properly can improve your car's fuel efficiency. Every litre of petrol saved keeps 2.5kg of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere!

5. Use less hot water.
It takes a lot of energy to heat water - use less hot water by installing an energy efficient triple A rated showerhead (3 tonnes of carbon dioxide saved per year) and washing your clotes in cold and warm water (225kg saved per year).

6. Avoid producsts with a lot of packaging. You can save 545kg of carbon dioxide if you cut down your garbage by 10%

7. Keep your car tuned up. Regular maintenance helps improve fuel efficiency and reduces emissions. When just 1% of car owners preperly maintain their cars, nearly a billion pounds of carbon dioxide are kept out of the atmosphere.

8. Plat a tree. A single tree will absorb one tonne of carbon dioxide over its lifetime.

9. Turn off electronic devices. Simply turning off your televisoin, DVD player, stereo, and computer when you are not using them will save you thousands of kilograms of carbon dioxide a year.

10. Be a part of the solution. Learn more and educate others who do not know about this.

Help Your Child to Read, Write, and More...

I am not talking about the kind of learning associated with school. For during their first five years before children go to school they have been engrossed in extensive learning, starting with only a potential to learn. This is a time when children especially depend on the human, social and cultural environment into which they are born. That is, they depend on the place, the people, the objects and the activities of which their environment consists, for opportunities to learn in a great variety of play-like activities. The ways in which parents support these, both by the quality of their affection and companionship and by what they provide for their children, are of fundamental importance to how successful children will be in the very different learning situations with which school confronts them.

Gradually it is coming to be recognized that the pre-school years are among the most formative in every child's life - that on these early years his future development into adulthood mainly depends. Many young children develop as "environmental learners" because they take up many learning tasks that confront them. At home,the parent of a pre-school child have no training in how to teach. This has advantages and disadvantages. It has advantages when they are preparedto follow the interests of a child and lead him into a greater share of their own; it has disadvantages when they teach what the child ought to know and how he ought to know it by recollecting their own school experiences.

As a parent, I believe that if children are supported properly in their early years, they can learn prodigiously and not just in reading and writing, but in much more.

I read an interesting article "Tiny Teachers" wrote by one of my friendster, good to share and you never realize this...

Childless Couple

There once was a husband and wife who were unable to have children. After consulting everyone who would listen to their problem, they were still unsatisfied. Finally, they consulted their family priest.
"My children," the priest began, "The Lord will listen to your prayers, and I am sure that you will be blessed with children shortly. In fact, I am planning an extended stay in Rome, and while I'm visiting the Vatican, I will light a candle for you."
"Thank you, Father, thank you!" said the couple.
Before leaving, the priest turned and said, "I am sure everything will work out just fine for you. My stay in Rome will be for quite some time--15 years. But when I return, I will be sure to pay you a visit."
And so, 15 years came and went, and the priest returned to the States.
While resting on his porch one mid-summer morning, he remembered the promise of paying a visit that he had made 15 years ago. So he made his way to their home, and upon arriving at the residence of the couple who'd sought his council years earlier, he rang the doorbell.
Sounds of crying and screaming children filled the air! Overjoyed by the thought that their prayers had been answered, he entered the house. More than a DOZEN children filled the house from top to bottom! In the midst of all the chaos, stood the wife.
"My dear," the priest said, "your prayers have been answered! And where is your husband? I wish to congratulate him too on your miracle!"
"He just left for Rome," she said in a very desperate tone.
"Rome? Why did he go to Rome?" asked the priest.
"To blow out that candle you lit!"

F1 - Big Boy's Toy

Here're some facts about F1. F1 car is made up of 80,000 components, if it were assembled 99.9% correctly; it would still start the race with 80 things wrong! When an F1 driver hits the brakes on his car he experiences retardation or deceleration comparable to a regular car driving through a BRICK wall at 300kmph!!!

F1 car can go from 0 to 160 kph AND back to 0 in FOUR seconds!!!!!!! F1 car engines last only for about 2 hours of racing mostly before blowing up on the other hand we expect our engines to last us for a decent 20yrs on an average and they quite faithfully DO....that's the extent to which the engines r pushed to perform...

An average F1 driver looses about 4kgs of weight after just one race due to the prolonged exposure to high G forces and temperatures for little over an hour (Yeah that's right!!!) At 550kg a F1 car is less than half the weight of a Mini.

To give you an idea of just how important aerodynamic design and added down force can be, small planes can take off at slower speeds than F1 cars travel on the track.Without aerodynamic down force, high-performance racing cars have sufficient power to produce wheel spin and loss of control at 160 kph. They usually race at over 300 kph.

In a street course race like the Monaco grand prix, the down force provides enough suction to lift manhole covers. Before the race all of the manhole covers on the streets have to be welded down to prevent this from happening! The refuelers used in F1 can supply 12 liters of fuel per second. This means it would take just 4 seconds to fill the tank of an average 50 liter family car. They use the same refueling rigs used on US military helicopters today.

TOP F1 pit crews can refuel and change tyres in around 3 seconds. It took me 8 sec to read above point During the race the tyres lose weight! Each tyre loses about 0.5 kg in weight due to wear.

Normal tyres last 60 000 - 100 000 km. Racing tyres are designed to last 90 - 120 km.A dry-weather F1 tyre reaches peak operating performance (best grip) when tread temperature is between 900C and 1200C.(Water boils boils at 100C remember) At top speed, F1 tyres rotate 50 times a second. And that's not Magic…. Its only the Power of Human Imagination…"

Sumatran Rhino

Our environment and its wildlife have suffered greatly because of the pollution, deforestation and illegalpoaching caused by humanity. Endangered species such as Sumatran rhino now face extinction, with less than 300 of them left worldwide. To prevent this tragedy, we should save the Sumantran rhino and protect its habitat by raising greater awareness of this environmental crisis.

A number of agencies, both international and national, work to maintain lists of endangered species, to protect and preserve natural habitats, and to promote programs for recovery and reestablishment of these species. One such international agency is the Survival Service Commission of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN), which publishes information on endangered species worldwide in a series of loose-leaf binders called the Red Data Book. Another agency is the Secretariat for the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

We must help restore the balnace of the environment by providing a cleaner, healthier world for future generations.
